A GREEN AND GROOVY GLASTONBURY
Think again. Within the Glastonbury Greenfields there have been people who have been environmental problem-solvers for twenty years. So there are plenty of answers out there. What is more, we show that working together to tackle climate change and all the other problems is charming and cheerful and fun and frolicsome.
In the Green Futures field at Glastonbury Festival you will find people to help you address your eco footprint in ways you've never thought about. Delectable performance, provoking workshops and debates, living working exhibits. Permaculture explained! Pedal powered laundrette! Energy efficiency! Radical Childbirth!
We
have many years experience as green
event organisers and therefore lots
of advice to offer. We are not an
umbrella organisation and
so have a completely independent view
on the green events industry.
We will endevour
to act as a conduit both to support
and promote best practise and equally
to identify the things that can be
improved.
We have seen enough festival work to
see there is a long way to go for festival
organisers – including both green events
and the general event industry. Our
powerful allies are the general public
and their growing awareness of the issues.
Most
improved festival/event will win a coveted
eco prize at our prestigiouis R &
R award ceremony.
You

We welcome your help in greening the
event industry. We know that constructive
criticism from you will help turn things
around. Not only will we pass on your
comments and monitor how things improve
but we will make the information available
to you so you can make informed choices.
You can join us at the beginning of
the process. We have a diary
and report
forms, later on with
your input and ideas we hope there will
be a lot more.
